Museum of Speed

Salt Lake City, Utah

A remodel and addition to an existing warehouse/garage that will hold 35 to 40 antique cars. The addition to the east wall serves as a lobby-entry-foyer to the collection. The addition is a 2-level structure with a mezzanine for administrative and collection activities. The addition is set back off the corner to provide for an outdoor courtyard/staging area for summer shows. The building is made up of a series of articulated metal skins and slowly cants outward to provide day-lighting for the upper level. The building was to be LEED platinum.
