Historical

We have a strong interest in the history of architecture, which contributes to our enjoyiment and engagement in our approach to conservation and preservation.

Our approach is one of respect for time, materials, scale, and place. We strive to elicit and bring out those qualities which reinforce that particular building or landscape. We feel the project gains life by having an appropriate dialogue with the particular time in which we find in the building and landscape.

Without lapsing into a mimetic repetition of a building in a specific age, we strive to present each moment, each time, for clarification of the problem before us. We recognize that the new intervention and place have the ability to move forward.
